Dating Site Alert: “MD” Stands for Maryland, Not “Medical Doctor

I joined an online dating site recently, where I noticed a surprising number of MDs. It might be interesting to date a doctor, I thought, but it turned out MD stood for “Maryland,” as in Baltimore, MD. Since I live in PA and hate driving further than 500 feet from my driveway, I passed on the MDs and concentrated on opportunities closer to home.

The first guy who messaged me was a DA for the LA CIA before he moved to PA. He fired off questions

“DOB? IQ? ZIP? FWB? LTR? SDT? I need to know ASAP!”

After that he went AWOL. I guess that was his MO, which was OK by me.

I was checking out an NFL-CEO’s profile when I accidentally pressed the flirt-alert button.

He messaged back immediately, “Hi, CT! XO, J.C..”

Since the messages were prefab I had to be careful not to inadvertently shoot off another one, like “IRT, NSA!”

The accidental flirt-alerts made me realize maybe it might be easier to patch things up with name deleted, AKA, EX. He’s not a TF; he wrote a book, FAQs about USPS, UPS, & UFOs. Sadly, his NYC publisher assigned a bogus ISBN, and he never sold a single copy. All he does…
